Well, it’s interesting how the activities you take in your stride, the ones that you feel you can fit into with relative ease, that perhaps you don’t necessarily count as being flashy or ‘aspirational’, can shape up as being extremely satisfying to be involved with.

At any rate, the Lake Dance performance, with an audience of 70, went very smoothly and the atmosphere acheived was pretty enrgrossing for the audience I believe. The mix of ages with the casting worked well – the blend of the younger performers’ exuberance and talent and the experience and finesse of the older perfomers combined very effectively. Choreographer Bryony Williams and company composed a really stylish piece of work (though I say so myself). A friend who came to see it said the 40 minutes ‘flowed by’ and the mix of voice, piano, drums, and dance gave the whole piece an ‘interesting edge’.

We’ve another show in Reading on Tuesday!
